FCCLA cares the most about me!
As many of you know, today’s focus for FCCLA week is on Community. The State Officers selected their Outreach Project for the State Leadership Conference and I’m excited to share how you and your students can help the Community at SLC.
The 2017 Outreach Project will be collecting canned tuna and other meats to benefit the Food Bank of Lincoln. The Food Bank services Lincoln and Lancaster county as well as southeast Nebraska, Saunders county, and the Blue Valley area including the counties of Jefferson, Fillmore, Thayer, Butler, Polk, and Saline. Their mobile pantries reach from Seward to Nebraska City and Falls City to David City.
Our goal is to donate 1500 canned food items and if each person brings just one canned meat, we will reach our goal. Please see the flyer below for more information and to help promote this Outreach Project.
