FCCLA Week

What is your favorite activity from FCCLA Week?

FCCLA week is right around the corner, and your chapter has probably already began to plan. You might feel excited about a great activity or a little anxious about a new one. However, this week is about you, FCCLA members.

Monday is “Media Monday.” This would be the day to talk to your school or community and share some of your favorite stories or experiences. You could even invite local media, like the newspaper, to the school to witness what is being done and to see what FCCLA is. Have a FCCLA rally or have a chapter social media contest; the choice is up to you!

Tuesday is “Team Tuesday.” Giving back to the community is one the best parts of FCCLA. Find a cause that means something to your chapter and make a difference. Get the entire school involved! Host a food drive or penny drive. The opportunities are endless!

Wednesday is “We wear red Wednesday.” Spread the red and wear your polos with pride! Imagine your whole school in red. School selfies or videos are always an option, and you could be encouraging new members to go out next year.

Thursday is “Thankful Thursday.” We want to hear and see how FCCLA has affected you or your chapter. You can take to social media with #WhyWeLoveFCCLA. Ask members what their favorite part is of FCCLA and create a banner for everyone to see.

Friday is “FACS Friday.” We all know that family and consumer sciences are valuable courses. You, the members, are proof of this! Take the time to talk to your school principal or superintendent about the importance of FACS classes. Use your voices to tell others all the amazing things you have learned in FACS classes.
