Accommodations and Special Request Form: FCCLA members that require accommodations for Competitive Events or during State Leadership Conference should work with their Chapter Advisers to submit those needs by completing the request form.
will open in February Adult Volunteer Form: Adult volunteers are essential to offer opportunities for students, specifically Tours, on Monday, March 30 and Tuesday, March 31. Any adults willing to serve as the adult sponsor for an FCCLA Serves project or Tours can complete the interest form!
National Anthem Auditions: Share your vocal talents with SLC attendees by performing the National Anthem as part of the Opening General Session on Sunday, March 29! Auditions are open to any FCCLA member(s) who would like to submit a solo or small group audition. Auditions are due by February 10.
Honorary Conference Assistants: Honorary Conference Assistants (HCAs) play a vital role in the operation and success of our annual State Leadership Conference. HCAs must be juniors or seniors in high school, have strong FCCLA experience and knowledge, previously attended an in-person SLC, and not be competing in STAR Events, Knowledge Bowl, or Skill Demonstration Events. In exchange for their time, they receive a discounted registration rate, a free conference t-shirt, and three complimentary meals (lunch on Monday and Tuesday, supper on Monday). Applications due February 10; applicants notified by February 16.
Content Creators: As a Content Creator at the State Leadership Conference, you will be responsible for producing engaging and high-quality social media content tailored to members. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills in content creation, social media management, and digital marketing while contributing to a dynamic and creative team. Ideal candidates are members with a passion for storytelling, creativity, and an understanding of various content formats. In exchange for their time, they receive a discounted registration rate, a free conference t-shirt, and three complimentary meals (lunch on Monday and Tuesday, supper on Monday). Applications due February 10; applicants notified by February 16.
RED Talks Youth Workshop Presenters: This is the perfect opportunity to showcase your FCCLA experience, work on your personal leadership development, connect with like-minded individuals, and assist others as they Rise Above. A RED Talk is a 20 minute TED Talk-style presentation where youth presenters can share experiences and expertise with members. These presentations typically include a brief and informative inspirational message to their audience. Applications due February 10; applicants notified by February 20.
Innovate the Plate: This year, the Innovate the Plate culinary competition will allow students to select from two recipe categories to create and test healthy, My Plate-friendly recipes for the 2026 competition. Applications due Friday, February 20; only 20 applications will be selected for the in-person competition!
Fashion Show: Do you want the chance to feature your outstanding work on stage at the Nebraska FCCLA State Leadership Conference? All members are eligible to apply for the SLC Fashion Show. Omaha Fashion Week participants are automatically eligible, but not required, to participate. Applications due Thursday, March 5 at 6pm CST; applicants notified by Friday, March 13.
Say Yes to FCS Signing Event: In partnership with the Nebraska Association for Family & Consumer Sciences (NAFCS) we are excited to continue to provide recognition to members choosing to pursue FCS-related careers at any post-secondary institution. This is open to all Seniors interested in careers in culinary arts, teaching, interior and fashion design, FCS education, nutrition and dietetics, counseling and mental health, early childhood education, etc. Registration for this event takes place as part of the SLC registration process.
FCCLA Serves & Tours: Members are invited to help FCCLA give back to some of the great organizations as well as participate in tours of local businesses and organizations in our host city of Lincoln. Registration will be a first come, first served opportunity; limited space available. Sign up will be available Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 20 at 6pm CST.
Spotlight on Projects: This showcase event will highlight completed projects from the past year, whether completed by the chapter or individuals. Sign ups open until Wednesday, March 25 at 5pm CST.
COMPETITIVE EVENTS
STAR Event Evaluator Sign-Up: Nearly 700 Nebraska FCCLA members compete in STAR Events during State Leadership Conference. More than 130 volunteers play an essential role in providing feedback to these members. Each chapter must provide evaluators per the following guidelines:
- 1-3 Events = 1 Evaluator
- 4-6 Events = 2 Evaluators
- 7-9 Events = 3 Evaluators
- 10+ Events = 4 Evaluators
If you are interested in also serving as a Skill Demonstration Event Evaluator or Lead Consultant on Tuesday, March 31, please reach out to the Competitive Events team (competitiveevents@nebraskafccla.org) for a registration link.
STAR Event Lead Consultant Sign-Up: FCCLA Chapter Advisers and retired Advisers are requested to serve as Lead Room Consultants during the state STAR Event competition. Sign ups open until Monday, February 16.

Miracle Minute will return as part of the 2026 State Leadership Conference! On Tuesday during the Closing Session, we will announce the grand total of money collected. Money from the Miracle Minute will be placed in the Nebraska FCCLA Impact Fund.
Parent/Guest Admission Request Sheet to attend the Competitive Event Recognition and/or Closing General Session on Tuesday, March 31. Individuals not listed here will NOT be admitted, due to security; names should be added by Friday, March 27. Admission is $10/person and can be pre-paid; cash, check, or card payment will also be accepted at the door.
