Next Generation Leadership Summit

The Next Generation Leadership Summit is an opportunity for students in Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs),  for students to learn and develop into leaders moved to action.  The theme for the 2017 Summit is about using critical thinking to improve and help communities in Nebraska flourish.  Next Generation Leadership Summit is a great way to sharpen your leadership skills and expand on how you can further your involvement in your organization.  This is also a great opportunity to see how other CTSOs expand their leadership and for you to incorporate what you learn during Summit into your chapter.

If you’re a member of a  Nebraska CTSO in grades 9 through 12, you are eligible to participate in the Next Generation Leadership Summit.  The Summit is scheduled to be held Wednesday, January, 25, 2017 in Lincoln, NE from 8:30am- 3:30pm.  The sponsors of Summit will cover the cost of participation, but transportation and lodging will be the student’s responsibility.

Students wanting to participate will need to fill out an application which is composed of

  • An online application
  • An up-to-date, one page resume
  • A letter of recommendation from a Career and Technical Student Organization Advisor.

The deadline for the application is November 20, 2016.  The students selected to participate in the Next Generation Leadership Summit will be notified by their State Adviser by December 1, 2016.

The application is available online at
