Meet Your 2018-2019 State Officer Team

Submitted by: Hailey Bixler, Vice-President of Programs

It’s time for a new year of FCCLA, which means that there is a whole new team of talented individuals ready to make this year amazing! Introducing your 2018-2019 Nebraska FCCLA State Officer Team!

Katie Patton, President: I’m so excited for this year as we have an all girls team! Our goals are huge and I’m so excited to see growth. I have been in FCCLA since 7th grade and this will be my fourth trip to Nationals. I like to run, hang out with my friends, and go to the beach. I want to be a dietitian in the future.

Madeline Wittstruck, Vice President: I’m super excited for this year in FCCLA! I actually joined FCCLA in 8th grade, just because my friends had joined the year before and traveled a lot. This will be my third time to Nationals. I will be a junior at Milford High School. I enjoy dance, One Act, musical, track, reading, hanging out with friends, and (of course) FCCLA! I also love macaroni and cheese!

Molly Paxton, Secretary: I have been an active member of FCCLA since seventh grade, and was a member of the 2017-2018 SPOT. Outside of FCCLA I participate in cross country, basketball, and track, along with several extracurricular activities within my school. I am also the current Miss Teen Rodeo Nebraska, and I am extremely enthusiastic to see what our State Officer Team can do!

Sabra Schmidt, Vice President of Competitive Events: I’m super stoked for this upcoming year of FCCLA! I am going to be a junior at Medicine Valley High School and have been in FCCLA since 7th grade. I joined because my brother was very involved in FCCLA. I enjoy volleyball, basketball, track, and the all-school play, as well as spending time with my friends and family!

Yasmine Bender, Vice President of Development: I’m Yasmine Bender. I grew up in Humphrey and still live in Humphrey on a farm without farm animals! I’m heavily involved in FCCLA, speech, One Act, track, volleyball, basketball, band, choir, FFA, and Student Council. I’m entering my 6th year as an FCCLA member. FCCLA has shown me to not only grow as a leader but meet some of my best friends, and it has allowed me to travel the country. I’m so excited to see members’ reactions to how the 2018-2019 State Officer Team is “Breaking Barriers”.

Madison Jones, Vice President of Membership: I’m very excited for the coming FCCLA year! I think it’s going to be the best one yet! I am going to be a junior at Mullen Public Schools, and I have been in FCCLA since 7th grade. I love volleyball, basketball, track, swimming, One Act, spending time with friends and family, playing the guitar, and singing.

Hailey Bixler, Vice President of Programs: I’ve been in FCCLA since eighth grade, and I can say with confidence that this will be our best year so far! I live in Neligh, Nebraska and will be a junior at Neligh-Oakdale Public Schools. I’m involved in cross country, One Act, speech, track, band, and musical, but FCCLA holds a special place in my heart. I love the different opportunities FCCLA provides that make it unique from every other organization, and I’m excited to give Nebraska an even better FCCLA experience!

Rashell Neefe, Vice President of Public Relations: I’m Rashell Neefe and I’ve been in FCCLA since seventh grade. I live in Hemingford, Nebraska, where I currently work as a lifeguard. I have two siblings. I love art, and my favorite subject is math.
