Mind-Bending Careers Conference with Nebraska FCCLA and Nebraska HOSA

Thanks to generous funding from BHECN – Behavioral Health Education Centers of Nebraska and the University of Nebraska Medical Center, we are proud to offer our first joint Mind-Bending Careers Conference with Nebraska HOSA! This conference will introduce students to career opportunities in counseling, mental and behavioral health as well as inform students of the risks associated with risky health behaviors.
Registration: Only 300 FCCLA members and advisers will be able to attend this experience! Register early! Limited to Juniors and Seniors (with the exceptions for Sophomores with strong interest in behavioral health).
$10.00 per member/adviser which includes registration materials and lunch
$15.00 per Non-member/adviser (open to FCS teachers and non-FCCLA Chapter members) which includes registration materials and lunch
Registration opens on March 16, 2020
Dress Code: FCCLA Chapter t-shirt or polo with dress pants (black or khakis) as this will be an active experience. Closed-toe shoes. No tennis shoes. Non-FCCLA members may wear nice tops (school-appropriate) and dress pants.
Hotel Blocks Available: LaQuinta Inn and Suites 308-237-4400 and Comfort Inn 308-236-3400 – Group Rate is $99.95/room, breakfast included, request tax-exempt for schools.
Mind-Bending Careers Objectives:
Students will be introduced to careers in Behavioral Health.
Students will identify the risks associated with unhealthy behaviors and the impact with behavioral health.

All sessions will be taught by Behavioral Health Professionals, HOSA State Officers and FCCLA State Officers. Participating teachers/advisers will receive classroom-ready materials.
